Introduction

What is it?

Articlefox allows a group of people to work together on a set of articles. In this group some people write the inital version of an article. Others will revise and discuss the text with the author. Someone else might translate the text into a different language or create a shorter version of it. An last but not least, each version of the inital text has to be proofread before it can be published.

The steps of writing the inital version, discussing the text, translation and correction are common for many types of articles. We call these steps phases of creating an article. Articlefox is a system which lets each article flow through these phases. Articlefox ensures, that each article passes through all the phases, e.g. each text has to be corrected before it can be published, and each phase can be completed by a different person.

Why could it help me?

• Orchestrate: If you are working with several people on a number of articles, you might need some kind of tool that keeps track of what the status of each article is and who is supposed to fullfill a certain task. Articlefox gives you exactly this. A system in which you can plan what articles are to be produced and by whom which task is performed. While the articles move from the inital writing phase to the last phase of correction, Articlefox always shows their progres.
• Distribute: If your team is spread all over the world, it might be usefull to have some centralized place to bring your work together. Articlefox is such a place. An application that can be accessed from everywhere through a browser.

• Clear: Aritclefox has a very clear definition of what is needed to write an article. Specifically the four phases: 1) Write the initial text, 2) Revise and discuss, 3) Translate and create shorter versions, 4) Correct.
• Easy: Articlefox is stright forward to use and therefore realy easy to understand. A normal user connects to Articlefox using a browser, uses his username/password to login and performs the tasks assigned to him.
• Specific: Articlefox was written for one specific application: To coordinate the writing of articles. It starts with the original text from the journalist and ends with the input for the layout.
